Celebrity Weed Watch: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

The Good: MMA Fighter, Says, "Smoking (Cannabis) Is Part of His Plan"
A professional athlete who gets drug tested, under the thumb of the press and sanctioning officials, not hiding his use of cannabis. Way to go, Nick Diaz, make us proud.

Join the "Athletes Against Drug Prohibition" Facebook Group.

The Bad: For This Harry Potter actor caught growing cannabis.

The Ugly: Britney Spears Bashes Her Paying For Her Tickets Audience For Smoking Pot. I've never wanted to pile on this girl for obvious reasons, in that I can see she is ill equipped for the ace hand life has handed her. But this takes the cake. She's cool with doing lines of cocaine, drinking like a fish, smoking cigarettes, looking like a certifiable nutcase in public, losing custody of her kids, but now she's upset about her audience smoking cannabis in Vancouver, people who paid good money to see her? If you smoke pot, Britney Spears doesn't want you at her show.

  2. I think she's just plain dumb. Delusionally thinks she was protecting her dancers. She's not what you call HIGH IQ.

  3. Hold on, Mike.

Remember when she shaved off all her hair?

Now she's refusing to perform when she can smell weed (and it was Vancouver, where there's sure to be a good amount of it).

She's on probation. She has child custody issues, as she has already been ruled unfit for unsupervised custody.

If she tests positive on a drug screening, she will likely go back to jail and lose custody of her kids.

The hair-removal episode, I suspect, was related to a relapse related to blow (remember, she went back into rehab shortly afterward). Sure, it was not going to show up in a urine test, but a hair test is another story.

Weed smoke, well, a contact high is very unlikely in at a concert, but if she could smell it clearly, and was exposed to it for a two hour show while dancing, then yes, she may have tested positive for a trace amount. Passing urinalysis may be a condition for her leaving and returning to the U.S.

    Just a couple of observations.

  4. Keith I never thought of that. If that's true, she still handled it poorly. All she had to say is that and people definitely would have understood. I would. And I bet some people would have actually stopped smoking. I don't want to see anybody lose their kids that is trying especially for second hand smoke from their job.

  5. She couldn't test positive for trace amounts. I tested this for myself, and I found it to be untrue. I sat in the car for over an hour while it was hotboxed, 12 hours later I took a urine sample, and it was clean...50 ng/ml.

I sent it to the lab the next morning, and it did test positive but at like 8 ng/ml maybe even less. It would never show up on your average test especially in an open room like that.

  6. And there is also lots of speculation about why she shaved her head. Some think she's just crazy, others speculate she's filled with demons and was trying to rid herself. And then others say Hollywood stars all have alters and she was just in a crazy one. Haha. Woo. You never know. Brixx could probably tell us what was up with Britney shaving her head.

  7. I still think she did it for drug testing purposes. For something in a small court that wouldn't even cross my mind, but seeing how she is in a battle for her kids I bet she had every possibly hair removed from her body. He was going to get those kids no matter what.
