How do you say this threatens to shut down democracy and then you filibuster to not allow a vote? CT Senator Toni "We've got to punish the whole state because somebody sent me a nasty email" Boucher. Regardless of whether or not it was a threat or not, does this make any sense?
"By stopping this bill today, we could send a clear message that you do not win by employing threats and that we do not allow anyone to silence the democratic process," said Sen. Boucher.
Senator Boucher then silenced the democratic process by not allowing it to come to a vote.
