Selectman Rogers says he smoked pot in days when 'everyone did'Chairman of Selectmen Patrick Rogers questioned Police Chief Gary Russell on why the fine for drinking in public, $50, is so much lower than the proposed fine for using marijuana in public.
"I smoked pot — everyone did," Mr. Rogers said in the course of the conversation. He said he could see no difference between drinking and smoking marijuana in a public place.
I would love to hear the reason why a ciggerete smoker is allowed to walk down the street unmolested but a pot smoker is somehow seen a some great evil. I would much rather smell pot fumes than cig fumes if I was waling down the street ( though I do like the smell of dutchapple pipe tobacco)
