Audible Mainframe, one of the best acts around both live and on cd. MC Exposition, is a friend from a few years back. I met them when Audible Mainframe won a contest, a battle of the bands event that I was helping to run at the time. They topped thirty six other acts to win that contest. Since then, they've moved from Boston to California and at times served as the backing band for Slick Rick. I booked them for the Boston Freedom Rally that got crushed by a hurricane/rained out. Tough to cover the expenses to get them back out to book them on the Rally again, but I've been hoping to see it ever since.
Expo just hit me up with the news, they are coming back to perform a club show in Boston and releasing a new cd.
I hope to interview my old friend when he touches down to Beantown.
MC Exposition, who definitely supports the kind bud and ending the war on drugs among other social issues he's a big voice on.
