  3. Yeah, me too. That's why the bands that raise money get on it because if $3500 isn't raised, no second stage. Asking me please does nothing, $3500 needs to be raised. Those that raise it will be booking the bands.

  7. your welcome, let's make it happen. I think if I can make some money between now and then I might throw in a check myself and request something for me for once. 5 minutes for my gf's son. He's awesome, surprisingly so. He'll have the Susan Boyle effect on the Rally, nobody will see it coming. Tall, white, skinny, kid, just give him a beat and two minutes and he'll be even or epopular than he already is. Haha.

  11. The guy that won the music poll needs to do like Dave Tree and find a sponsor, throw some money down or get his fans/friends to.

Because without it, there isn't a second stage. The main stage is completely booked. They invited more speakers for this the 20th annual.

MassCann/NORML just voted, yes on the second stage provided the money to pay for it is in by Sept. 19th.

This is the most up to date info on it. We need to raise $3500 between now and the show to make it happen. We have one quality sponsor stingraybodyart.com that is covering the sound man/PA and kicking in some cash but we need to cover the rest. If we don't raise it, there will be no 2nd stage. So we are first booking acts that will buy or find a sponsor to buy a merch spot for $300-400. You get a set and a merch space for that price. First come, first serve. I hate the pay to play BS but it's the only way for it to happen and still a good deal for bands. Nobody makes money on this show, it's all volunteer other than our few contractors like Audioeast and Wizard security but even they do it at a discount on their usual rates. The city kills us on costs, to do the second stage, we are required to pay for cleanup & re-sod which is BS because we clean it ourselves and never does it need to be re-sodded, additional security, additional porto-potties, security, permits, and the big one more Park Rangers and insurance...

Once we have enough to cover the second stage then we will book any time that is left like we usually book the show.

  13. Something else to consider is the bands that have already played benefits for masscann this year have often already contributed by raising that money.  A typical benefit show might raise $600 for masscann/norml divided by 6 acts, that's $100 per act already raised with only $200-300 more to go. Some of the suggestions have already raised some money, they are a 1/3 of the way there...
