Interview with Steve Kubby, Claims Fraud From Marijuana Reform Business Partners With Cannabis Science

The marijuana reform movement really is in a growth spurt with some big changes. Momentum and money always changes things. And with cannabis businesses now really opening up and challenging the standby marijuana reform groups like NORML and MPP, there are going to be some new issues.

Steve Kubby StonerNation Interview With Accusations Against Cowan/Melemede and Melamede's Comments Quoting, Ripping Kubby Back

Kubby: This is the first that I've heard about "financial malfeasance," by Mr. Cowan, while he was associated with NORML. I do know that MPP founder Rob Kampia warned me on several occasions about Mr. Cowan, but he was never specific about why. All I know for sure, is that when I first found out about the millions of shares of phony stock Mr. Cowan had authorized, I was stunned, even numbed, that such a trusted friend could do such a thing.

This is one of those new developments. Fraud, people getting greedy and frustrated after working for free for so many years? Both parties are claiming the other side was shady. I'm not picking a side. Just reporting what has been reported. Sad to see that it is going on. I've supported both Steve Kubby and Dr. Robert Melamede by posting there videos here. I have never met either and have no idea who's fibbing and who's telling the truth.

But let's not get totally down on cannabis businesses. They are funding the California legalization initiative. Marc Emery used cannabis business to "seed" what is happening right here and now. And before that there was HIGH TIMES, arguably the first major cannabis related business known worldwide. I got involved in marijuana reform sparked by reading about hometown marijuana reform activities covered in HIGH TIMES.

Toby Grear is able to speak at this year's Boston Freedom Rally because of MediCann's financial support! The Hempest in Boston has been a key supporter of the Boston Freedom Rally for decades. The Hempest is a legal hemp clothing store chain headquartered in Boston on Newbury Street. Check them out, they will be back at this year's Rally with a hemp vehicle and their line of hemp clothing. These are just some examples and there are many more of cannabis business owners out there doing the right thing, creating good product and giving back to the cause.

  1.  It's smarter to just Legalize Weed but not allow it to be grown or sold commercially. Limit 2 ounces possession with 12 mature females at any given time on your own land. Then those "what about the kids" types should be happy because there will be no commercialization. The best solution is often the most simple. The true reason to Legalize Weed and the movement behind it was NOT for taxes,so big brother can go without.

  2. I don't agree Todd. That would stifle research/development. Cannabis has so many commercial uses from food, to paper, medicine, clothing, medicine.  Legalizing it cannabis across the board is going to make that happen.

The commercial business is going to create that.

I agree that no matter what all legalization should include the right to grow your own, tax free for personal use.

That should be the line in the sand for all activists. Legalization, taxation but let us grow our own for personal use with no taxes! It keeps the taxes in check for commercial uses and the black market from creeping back.

Commerical use should be allowed but regulated and taxed.
