NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox, Happy To Profit From Marijuana As Long As Nobody Talks About Legalizing It

NBC, CBS, ABC, & FOX happy to profit from marijuana, as long as nobody talks about legalizing it. CBS Radio screws over NORML Radio show.

A few weeks after the news of CBS Radio working with NORML on a national radio show was promoted on the web, the suits at CBS Radio pull the plug generating bad press for themselves at one of the top destinations on the internet.

NORML.org's Alexa ranking, 31,350. CBS Radio station, WBCN.com's Alexa Ranking, 234,694. The lower the number, the higher the rating for the website. Meaning NORML's website is very popular. Way more popular than most corporate radio stations, even those in major markets.

For many years, The Boston Freedom Rally was sponsored by WBCN which was a local CBS Radio affiliate. I heard as did others with MassCann/NORML from WBCN employees that CBS corporate did not like the fact that they sponsored our event.

With WBCN going out of business, I tried to get another Boston CBS station to sponsor. I'm sure you know what the answer was.

Here's part of the response I got.

"The powers that be thought the new sports radio format would really not fit the setting of the event. I am sure you would agree with them as well."

Actually CBS "powers that be", as a former three sport high school varsity, all star athlete I do not agree. And neither do many athletes that I know who have either been busted or spoken out for marijuana reform.

Mike Adams at one of your competitors, WEEI, probably does not agree.

And what about Michael Phelps, Rob Van Dam, Marc Spitz, Bill Lee, Jeff Blatnick, Ricky Williams, Lebron James, Jeremy Mayfield, Missy Giove, Super Bowl MVP, Santonio Holmes and one of our headline speakers at this years 20th Annual Boston Freedom Rally, Toby Grear?

It's ok to cover their busts, but not to support what the majority want to see happen? Legalization of cannabis.

CBS Radio? Catering to 10% of their audience while pissing off 90%?

Is it any surprise that WBCN, perhaps the most famous rock radio station on the East Coast is suddenly going off the air? After 41 years of being a rock radio institution? Not when you have these jokers running things.

Great marketing, CBS Radio "Powers That Be". Share on FriendFeedhttp://www.wikio.com
