Supporter of the Boston Freedom Rally does body art.
"Hey Mike,
I just wanted to let you know that I am ready for the Rally! I'll have diferent size weed leaves, glitter ones for the girls. I also have some Graveyard BBQ stencils if anyone want them.Feel free to use this pic for any advertising the event.
Bye for now,
Stake"

At least find a girl with a pretty face if you're going to exploit her for advertising purposes... who wants to see a haggard face like that?
ReplyDeleteIgnore previous guest's grossly uncalled for and wrong post! What a cutie, great promotion!
ReplyDeleteI think she's pretty. :-/
ReplyDeleteThis sort of thing does little to end the drug war- I believe the people who need to be enlightened will be repulsed by this.
ReplyDeleteLast guest, what do you know? Not much! We decriminalized in MA, I was a big part of that. You know what we need? To bring out the 65% who support decrim, the 80%+ who support medical, the 50%+ who support legalization. To cater to the unenlightened? That's what a dummy would do. When you are the majority, it's a waste of time. Leave the strategy to people who know what they are talking about! The opposition is only there because of vested money interests or willful ignorance! Not because of anything else. Actually you are right, I heard the Governor was going to support it all but saw this picture and now wont do it! See how crazy your thinking is? Cater to the unelightened? We wouldn't have decrim in MA if we did that....
ReplyDeleteMe, too.
ReplyDeleteWhy try to enlighten those who are willfully ignorant or paid to be against us? We are the majority. I have some experience on this issue. We only need to bring out the folks still in the closet. The 65% in MA who voted for decrim. The 80%+ who support medical. The 50%+ that now support legalization. To cater to the unenlightened? That's not helping.
ReplyDeleteWhy did gay rights with less people/support than drug reform have more success? Because they brought out their base. Not because they tried to convert bible thumpers...
I am actually a little repulsed by your comment. It's kind of ignorant of the actual situation. We don't need to censor ourselves for the minority who will always be there and against us. But get more of our people out in the open.....
And you think titties will bring them over? Your too smart a fellow not to see that the people who don't support our cause may very well not like the culture that's put forth. And by association, damn the weed. And I'm not refering to professional or rabid prohibitionist either. Fact is, some people are more likely to listen to someone like Rick Steves than a vain blogger with tacky erotica.
ReplyDeleteWhy do you assume I'm trying to use titties to win people over to my side?
ReplyDeleteShow me one person that was supporting legalization but now isn't because MikeCann posted a poster that was submitted to him? Or shut up? By your rules, weed will never be legal because Ron Jeremy spoke at the Seattle Hempfest? No actually you are right I just heard from the MA Governor he was going to support legalization but he saw that picture and he's not going to do it now! Seriously, your stance is a joke. And I don't look at this as erotica. It's an artist offering his time for the cause of the Freedom Rally. If folks like Rick Steves, awesome, being on tv and having a serious gig is a good thing. By the way, I'm actually a clean cut professional. Me, vain? Maybe a little bit, but at least I'm not talking out my ass like yourself. Folks dont support marijuana reform because of me or Rick Steves. They support it because of their life experiences! Folks that support marijuana reform know what cannabis is and what it's not. Give people some credit.
My goal and purpose for blogging is to spread more information, activism, music, entertainment and to encourage those that support this cause to do more. Not to change the minds of anybody that isn't already interested in this subject. Middle of the roaders, are not my regular readers. People that already support or want to support this cause, is my audience. Many of my readers, I'd say close to half, know me personally. I'm not known to be really smutty or sensationilistic for that matter. Often to serious. So if somebody shares something with me that is supporting, spreading the word on the Freedom Rally and it might be a little more edgy, who am I to deny them the eyeballs? That's not me and not my role. I practice activism and I encourage it, and often even when it's not in a form I would partake in. Understand? I didn't ask for the artwork but I thought it was worthy. This guy does this full time for other types of events and wanted to use his skills to promote the Freedom Rally. That's all good.

That's all good. Spread the message to the enlightened is the most important thing one can do for this cause. We should all focus on that first. How many of us know sympathetic to the cause folks who do nothing? I've had my successes with these folks. We've raised 10's of thousands, garnered tons of media, radio, tv, newspaper stories, effected bills at the state house, even. If I wasted my time on the unenlightened? None of that would have happened....I'd still be one guy talking to nobody. No radio, no tv, no newspapers or protests....
