COTTLEVILLE — Last summer Don Yarber, the mayor of this quiet suburban town in St. Charles County, drew some unusual attention when he persuaded aldermen to urge the Missouri Legislature to legalize the medical use of marijuana.
Now Yarber and the aldermen have gone a step further. They've scheduled a nonbinding advisory referendum on the issue on the April 6 ballot.
