ill.e.gal you've been doing your thing for awhile, moved from the East Coast and back, any advice you have for music artists in terms of promotions or getting their music out to the masses?
I've always been a firm believer of answering when opportunity knocks, so when I had the chance to go to Minnesota and California I jumped. Luckily, it worked out for me and I was able to flourish. Not everyone is cut out for roaming around, it is a tough life filled with sacrifices. Most people make moves in their hometown and then branch out. Now that I'm back east it's almost like starting over in a sense. I missed a huge step so now I'm back and ready to conquer the east coast.
As for advice on promoting, it's so easy. We live in an age of technology, computers and free websites that can get your music to the masses. I can definitely say that MySpace helped boost my career. I am also a HUGE fan of reverbnation.com. They have tons of tools available to really help any musician get that extra boost.
I saw you recently performed at The Gathering? Was that your first time performing there? Where was it?
Yes sir! I performed at the Gathering Of The Juggalos in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. The Gathering has taken place in Cave In Rock, IL for the past three years.
Tell us about the Gathering for those who aren't familiar with it.
The Gathering Of The Juggalos is an amazing event that takes place every summer. It's four days of camping, music, and having the best time of your life with friends. It is put on by Psychopathic Records (Insane Clown Posse) and every year they get some major acts to perform such as Ice Cube, Ice Tea, Bone Thugs and Harmony, and the list goes on and on. I have been attending the Gathering since 2003 and I will continue to go as long as they put it on!
