This review is from: 1982 (Audio CD)
I just picked up 1982 today and I only listened to it once, but after the first listen; sh*ts fire! I can't decide which is my favorite song on it yet. If any one reading this has never heard Termanology spit or even one of Statik's beats, go get this right now. I was expecting great things from this release because Statik Selektah's beats are always complex (one of the best doin it) and Term's lyrics just flow together. I don't know how Termanology is not on a major label yet. Even the guests list is nice. Cassidy, Reks, Xzibit, Bun B, M.O.P, Saigon, Inspectah Deck, Freeway (rips it), Styles P, Masspike Miles, and Jared Evan. Nice list and not too many people to take over the album, just enough. People need to stop sleepin on Boston hip hop and Term reps to the fullest as he always does. If you like this album, I suggest you pick up Statik Selektah's first album "Spell My Name Right". CLASSIC! Also pick up Termanology's "Politics as Usual". This is what hip hop should sound like, not that bouncin with a hook and garbage lyrics. Term and Statik you a SHOWOFF. Boston STAND UP.

Runners-up:

Tracy Bonham, "Masts of Manhatta"
DJ Slim, "420 Mass"
Amber Ladd, "tRip"
Myster DL, "The Final Evacuation"
