Cara Crabb-Burnham, Candidate for MassCann/NORML Board of Directors

Cara at office of High Times
I have been active with Emerson College Students for Sensible Drug Policy since its inception in the Fall of 2009. I served as the charter Secretary and the following semester I became the Vice President. I am presently the Massachusetts Chapter Coordinator for National SSDP; working with student leaders from all Mass chapters.

Over the past two years I have been a loud voice in the Massachusetts Cannabis Reform movement. I was the first person to organize an SSDP chapter to march in the Boston Pride Parade in 2010, and I organized the first bi-chapter and multi-chapter meetings among Boston area SSDP chapters over the past two years. I recruited more than 10 volunteers for the 2010 Boston Freedom Rally, who worked either at the MassCann tent or at National SSDP's table. I also a spoke from the stage at the Freedom Rally. I can regularly be found on the Boston Pot Report on UNregular Radio, Friday afternoons with Dr. Keith Saunders, and I have also been know to show up on THC with Steven Epstein and Mike Crawford.

I have a solid understanding of MassCann's strategic plan to pass tax-and-regulate legislation, and I am very excited to be an active member this coming year.

My service on the board of MassCann would help bring SSDP's and NORML's efforts together, because Boston is such a small city and having the students motivated to volunteer for joint events would be a huge boost to both organizations.

Thank You so much for your kind consideration and I hope you agree that I would be an excellent choice to serve on MassCann's Board of Directors.
